Yesterday, WCDA hosted the Impact Wayne Annual Investor Meeting at the Walnut Creek Country Club in Goldsboro, NC. An update was given on Wayne County’s three industrial parks, current projects, and future economic development plans. The success of the Impact Wayne Campaign Kick-off and the great investor support was discussed. Also, WCDA president and NCGTPEDR Senior Vice President Mark Pope shared insight on the significant progress being made at the NC Global TransPark Economic Development Region, which WCDA is a part of.
At the Impact Wayne Annual Investor Meeting yesterday, WCDA honored David Perry and Bob Kornegay with the “Appreciation Award” for leading the Impact Wayne Campaign. Also honored were Kendall Lee and Don Hargrove with the “Go To Award” for all the support they have given WCDA in the last year.
WCDA is grateful to all Impact Wayne investors for their support. Impact Wayne is the private-public fundraising arm of the Wayne County Development Alliance and started its third five-year strategic plan to implement an aggressive public and private economic development initiative in the county.
